How it Works

Smart Component Homes has developed a unique fundamental approach to the assembly of a component / panelized home building system.

Assembly-Resilient Design (ARD) embeds tolerance, accessibility, and reversibility directly into the component architecture—allowing the system to absorb real-world variability during assembly.

Assembly-Resilient Design (ARD) is the engineering principle at the core of the SCH system. It recognizes that real-world construction conditions are inherently variable and that perfect assembly conditions cannot be assumed. SCH components are engineered to tolerate installation variance, provide alignment flexibility, and maintain performance despite assembly imperfections. Interfaces, tolerances, and component geometries are designed to support reliable assembly across varying skill levels and jobsite conditions. ARD also allows corrections to be made after installation without destructive rework. Components remain accessible and relocatable, enabling layout adjustments, panel realignment, and utility modifications at multiple stages of construction. By embedding tolerance and correctability directly into the system architecture, ARD reduces construction risk, minimizes rework, shortens build timelines, and delivers predictable, repeatable outcomes across diverse sites and regulatory environments.

Our Innovative Components

  • Light-weight Wall Panel Manufacturing

  • Fully Integrated Click & Lock Panels

  • Panel Installation Pinch Track

  • Truss Anchor Plate

  • Instant Eave System

  • Structural Floor System

  • Pier Anchor Plates

A combination of innovative methods and components that integrates seamlessly with traditional construction techniques and materials, resulting in a building system that reduces costs and reduces the timeline for producing affordable housing units.

The interior wall partition system consists of a series of interlocking components that define the interior spaces of a home, addressing both utility and aesthetics. Interior doors are provided pre-hung and window panels feature one-piece finish jambs and casings. This enables the assembly of our system to be completed rapidly and with a minimum of construction knowledge.

Preconfigured Interlocking EPS Structural Panels or Conventional SIPs’

EPS Structural Panels are built of high-grade galvanized steel and extruded styrene creating a superior building panel of strength and insulating properties that exceed IRC requirements that are the foundation of the building codes in the United States. Alternately, Sips’ (Structural Insulated Panels) have been in use for residential construction for decades. They serve as a good structural shell that integrates with our interior panel system easily

EPS Structural Panels are manufactured in a climate-controlled, factory-based assembly environment that ensures consistent quality, precision, and material integrity. By producing panels on a streamlined assembly line—rather than in uncontrolled outdoor conditions—we eliminate the moisture exposure, temperature fluctuations, and handling variability that can compromise conventional building materials and compromises important timelines. This manufacturing approach enables higher production capacity, predictable output, and repeatable performance across every home delivered.
